MeCanMed Signs Scholarship Agreement with the University of Lusaka

[Lusaka, September 23, 2025] — At MeCanMed, we believe that meaningful progress in healthcare is not only about advanced technology or modern equipment, but also about nurturing the people who will shape the industry’s future. In line with this commitment, we are honored to announce our partnership with the University of Lusaka (UNILUS) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that establishes an annual scholarship valued at USD $3,600.
The scholarship program is designed to ease the financial burden on students, allowing them to focus on academic excellence, skill development, and innovation. It represents more than financial aid—it reflects a shared vision between MeCanMed and UNILUS: to prepare graduates who are not only knowledgeable, but also practical, hands-on, and ready to serve their communities with integrity and expertise.
During the signing ceremony at UNILUS’s Silverest Campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pinalo Chifwanakeni highlighted the impact of this collaboration, noting that excellence in education is about more than passing exams; it is about preparing students to thrive in a global healthcare environment.
For MeCanMed, this initiative is an extension of our long-standing relationship with UNILUS. Over the years, we have supplied essential medical equipment that has enabled the UNILUS Hospital to provide services on par with leading institutions worldwide, ultimately earning accreditation as a teaching hospital. This scholarship program builds on that foundation—bridging our role as a healthcare solutions provider with our broader responsibility to society.
Our CEO, Mr. Andy Miao, emphasized during the ceremony that collaboration is key to building sustainable progress:

Following the ceremony, the MeCanMed team toured the UNILUS Hospital, where many of our medical solutions are actively supporting teaching and patient care. This experience reaffirmed our belief that true industry progress happens when technology, education, and compassion work hand in hand.
