MeCanMED welcomed a client from Zimbabwe to its X-ray equipment manufacturing facility in Guangzhou, China, for a comprehensive, client-requested training program. Held at the company’s production and R&D center, the five-day session focused on enhancing technical expertise in operating and maintaining MeCanMED’s X-ray systems.

This tailored training program, organized as a paid service at the clients’ request, underscores MeCanMED’s commitment to delivering personalized support for global partners. The Zimbabwean client engaged in structured sessions combining theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, and collaborative problem-solving.
The program followed a meticulously designed workflow, and the training structure and key focus areas were followed:
- Theoretical Knowledge: Core principles of X-ray imaging technology, radiation safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Product Demonstrations: Detailed walkthroughs of MeCanMED’s two flagship systems:
- Portable/Loadable X-ray Units (5.6kW): Emphasizing lightweight design, rapid deployment, and compatibility with harsh environments.
- Double-Column Flatbed X-ray Systems: Highlighting high-precision imaging, ergonomic workflows, and durability for high-frequency clinical use.
- Hands-On Technical Training: Step-by-step guidance on installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for both product categories.
Personalized Support Adapting to Client Needs
While the core agenda centered on portable and fixed X-ray systems, the clients expressed interest in Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) dental systems， and wanted to learn the system operation and maintenance of the CBCT dental panoramic machine. However, MeCanMED’s factory does not currently display this product. The company arranged a half-day visit to a partnered dental clinic for live CBCT equipment observation, followed by a virtual training session with certified CBCT engineers to address this. This hybrid approach ensured comprehensive knowledge transfer while maintaining transparency about product scope.
